On 1 April 2016, VIPA started implementing a project of the European Territorial Cooperation Programme objective Interreg Europe Boosting Low Carbon Innovative Building Rehabilitation in European Regions

 

This project will help create new funding models, carry out the analysis of national legislation. The purpose of participation of institutions of 7 Member States of the European Union (Spain, Sweden, Poland, Croatia, the UK, Slovenia and Lithuania) in the project is to refurbish buildings in the EU Member States by increasing their energy efficiency and to reduce energy consumption as well as to develop policy aiming at providing more favourable conditions for the creation of specialised companies’ market in this industry.

 

The project will be carried out by means of two stages. The first stage will focus on partners sharing their good practice and drawing up an Action Plan for every partner of the region. The second stage is anticipated to put Action Plans into effect and to conduct monitoring of their implementation.

 

The project costs EUR 1,659 million, of which VIPA was allocated EUR 187,000 from the European Regional Development Fund.

• Sweden: Region Jämtland Härjedalen (RJH);

• Slovenia: Gorenjska Energy Agency (LEAG).
