VIPA PARTICIPATES IN THE PROJECT OF CAPACITY ENHANCEMENT AND EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE WITH CROATIA |
Team of specialists working for the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania, the Central Project Management Agency, the Public Investment Development Agency, Croatia’s Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds and the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development jointly implement the project funded by the European Commission “Enhancement of Capacities to Apply Financial Instruments by Adjusting them to Other Public Investments”. In this way, the European Commission seeks to promote broader use of financial instruments and cooperation of the EU countries on this issue.
Until the beginning of the next year, state’s interventions (subsidies, tax concessions, etc.) made by Lithuania and Croatia in various economic sectors (water management, transport and communications, culture, health, etc.) as well as possibilities to combine them with financial measures will be assessed. During the implementation of this project, a team of specialists of the Lithuanian public sector will carry over Lithuania’s experience of qualitative use of financial measures to their partners in Croatia. The project will contribute to the successful use of financial measures and the development of new ones.
